All I know is if you do the opposite the tracking feels terrible. My hunch is that setting it higher in the logitech options app increases the resolution of it's output for some reason, which is then toned down again when it's fed through the OS mouse preferences. What I did to help fix that feeling was to set the mouse tracking speed two clicks above minimum in the OS native system preferences, and then set it to the fastest setting in the Logitech Options app. It was made worse by the fact that I like a really fast mouse, I don't move my palm at all while using a mouse. except that the tracking on the MX Anywhere 3 felt jittery and unsteady in comparison. A few months ago I switched from a cheap wired Macally IceMouse from probably 2003 to a much nicer Logitech MX Anywhere 3. I know exactly the feeling you're talking about. I’m bothered by the scrolling everyday, but I got used to it a bit more and it’s doable. So I sucked it up and stuck with the anywhere 3. But the tracking is just objectively trash. The grip somehow didn’t bother me that much so I guess everybody has their own preferences. I tried all kinds of software to make it better and a mousepad, I still couldn’t get over it. I also absolutely dreaded the tracking, it’s so incredibly bad. I have sweaty hands and it always felt uncomfortable for me. For those of us that are bothered by it we’ll always notice it.įor me personally I couldn’t stand the magic mouse’s glassy surface. The people telling you that the Logitech mice work well are the people that don’t notice the jittery scrolling and it doesn’t bother them. I also had the mx3 and it had the same issues. I guess it’s just a bug from macOS not playing nice with third party accessories (in typical apple fashion). I have the anywhere 3 as you and I also tried everything to make it smoother, it doesn’t work. The other third party mice have better tracking but shit scrolling. Magic Mouse is the only one that has smooth scrolling but has inaccurate tracking. Compared to Apple’s own Magic Mouse, it has vastly superior ergonomics, all the buttons you could want, far superior scrolling, better battery life – and, unlike the Magic Mouse, you can actually use this mouse while it is charging. There is no good mouse for macOS. If you are a Mac user and you use a mouse, the Logitech MX Master 3S is about as good as the experience gets. Recommendation: If you Use a Mac, It Doesn’t Get Much Better Than the Logitech MX Master 3S Mouse
